Minister Uwihanganye Shocked After King James Concert Tickets Sell Out Without Buy it.
Rwanda’s State Minister for Infrastructure, Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, has joined fans asking for a second concert from popular Rwandan singer King James after tickets for his BK Arena show sold out very fast.
The minister even said that if possible, the artist should organize a third concert because many people failed to get tickets.
Uwihanganye made these remarks during the Gen-Z Comedy event held at Camp Kigali on the night of 7 May 2026.
The event brought together musicians, comedians, DJs, and many young people for a night of entertainment and discussion.
Minister Says Tickets Finished Before He Bought Them
While speaking to the audience, the minister explained how surprised he was after failing to buy tickets for King James’ concert.
He said he and his wife planned to buy tickets immediately after the concert was announced, but by the time they checked online, the tickets were already marked as “sold out.”
Uwihanganye joked that at first he thought it was one of the common marketing tricks artists sometimes use to attract attention online.
He said:
“My wife and I wanted to buy tickets very early, but when we checked, they were already sold out.”
His comments caused laughter and excitement among people attending the comedy event.
Calls for Second and Third Concert
After seeing the huge demand for the concert, the minister encouraged King James to add another show.
He even suggested that a third concert could also happen if fans continue showing interest.
Uwihanganye also spoke about the future of Rwandan music and said he hopes one day a local artist will completely fill Amahoro Stadium alone.
He said Rwanda invested heavily in building the stadium, and citizens now want to see a Rwandan musician make history there.
According to him:
“We want one Rwandan artist to fill Amahoro Stadium alone, and we will support that artist.”
King James Makes History at BK Arena
King James recently became one of the few Rwandan musicians to attract massive crowds at BK Arena, one of the country’s biggest entertainment venues.
The quick ticket sales became a major topic on social media, with many fans praising the singer’s popularity and long music career.

Message to Young People About Global Challenges
Besides entertainment, the minister also used the event to speak to young people about current global economic challenges.
He reminded them that the world is facing difficult times because of different wars and international problems affecting fuel prices and living costs.
