Ishimwe Vestine Says She Has Suffered Enough

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Ishimwe Vestine shared a heartfelt message on social media:

“The life I’m living now is not the one I chose. I am going through hard times that I didn’t deserve… No man will ever deceive me and destroy my life again.”

Her words show someone rising from pain, determined to start a new chapter and rebuild her life.

Vestine Plans to Be Careful Before Choosing a Husband

Through her Instagram post, Vestine explained that she will no longer rush into letting another man into her life without truly knowing him. She said:

“Before I choose a husband again, I will make sure I know him well—his character, family, values, and overall life. No one will use or play with me again.”

This statement reflects lessons she learned from her recent struggles and painful experiences.

The Pain Behind Her Words

These words come just months after her wedding. On July 5, 2025, Vestine married Ouédraogo in a ceremony at Intare Conference Arena, a joyful event full of flowers and promises of a long-lasting marriage. However, as she revealed, just three months later, she went through a “major life lesson.”

In an interview with MIE Empire, she explained that marriage felt “like entering a country you don’t know,” which requires careful understanding and learning from experiences. She said:

“I don’t know everything yet because I haven’t spent enough time. I can’t tell people ‘this is how it is’ because I am still learning. Moving into a home is like entering a new world—it’s challenging, and I won’t lie about that.”

Advice to Younger Generations

Vestine also gave advice to her younger sister, Dorcas, emphasizing caution when choosing a partner. She said:

“I have reflected on my life and experiences. Dorcas, don’t rush into marriage too young. Wait and be wise. If someone tries to rush you, I would intervene. This was God’s plan for me.”

Dorcas also admitted she struggled emotionally after her sister’s wedding. She said:

“After the wedding, I couldn’t fully process it. I had school and state exams to focus on. It was hard to believe Vestine was married.”

Vestine’s Emotional Struggles

Vestine revealed that she went through a period of deep sadness, even experiencing depression. She shared:

“At night, I couldn’t sleep or even go home because I felt alone. I used medication, but it didn’t fully help. I’m now eating and taking care of myself because my mother advised me to.”

Vestine and Dorcas have been living in Canada, working on music projects and connecting with fans.

Preparing for a New Beginning

Next week, the sisters plan to return to Rwanda, where fans and followers will respond to Vestine’s message as she continues her journey of healing. Though she hasn’t revealed everything, her words reflect her determination to recover and rebuild her life, possibly even considering separation as a new path forward.
