Kigali City Shares Road Plan for UCI Cycling 2025
Kigali City has announced a list of roads to be used by buses, trucks, and other vehicles during the 2025 UCI Road World Championship. The race will take place in Kigali from September 21 to 28, 2025.
The new traffic plan aims to keep daily activities moving while also ensuring the safety of athletes, passengers, and city residents.
Why Some Roads Will Close
The UCI Road World Championship is one of the biggest cycling events in the world. For the first time in history, the race will be hosted in Africa, and Kigali will welcome top cyclists from across the globe.
Because of the competition, some central roads in Kigali will be closed or used in special ways. The city wants to make sure that transportation for passengers and goods will not stop completely.
