
Children with disabilities from different districts in Rwanda came together to celebrate International Children’s Day through sports, games and community support. The event brought smiles, inclusion, and equal participation for all children. Big Celebration Held in Remera
The celebration took place on Thursday, 20 November 2025, inside the NPC Gymnasium in Remera.
Many leaders, parents and organizations that support children with disabilities were present to mark this special day.

The theme of this year’s celebration was “My Rights, All the Time”, reminding everyone that every child deserves respect, protection and equal opportunities.

Games and Fun Activities for the Children
The day was filled with happiness as children enjoyed different sports designed for persons with disabilities.
Boccia Competition
In Boccia:

Huye District team won against Gasabo with a score of 7–3.
Goalball Competition
In Goalball:

Nyagatare team performed the best and won the match.
After all games were completed, the best teams received awards, including trophies to appreciate their hard work and participation.
